In perhaps one of the most powerful artist/designer collaborations in recent memory, Damien Hirst announced yesterday that he will pay homage to fashion genius Alexander McQueen. This seems to us a match made in heaven; both Hirst and McQueen are known for their dark and whimsical designs.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Alexander McQueen’s iconic skull scarf, the fashion powerhouse will team up with Hirst to release 30 custom, limited edition scarves. The prints will be influenced by the artist’s Entomology series, and will be available in a variety of fabrics mid-November.
Hirst was one of the judges at this year’s Future Generation Art Prize at La Biennale, and we’re sure that these scarves will inspire even more young artists.
